Billy.
Hi i am looking for a new semi auto shotgun for about £300-£500 i was wondering which is bad i have tried hatsan escort and i liked it but have seen a lot of bad press on them are they worth buying I had a Hatsan and I didn't enjoy it. I will blame myself, as I really didn't look after it, which they do need... You'll struggle to find a different S/A for that budget (a few others will be in the £450+ range) Just keep an eye out on Guntrader and hopefully something will pop up. Or, put an advert in the 'Wanted' section. (I see loads of people pick guns up that way)
Gordon R
Baikal / Remington. Better than Hatsan. More reliable and better built. For that money, you can get an almost new.
Guest gloker
I have Just bought a webley and scott 12g semi auto to use as a pigeon gun. comes in ABS hard case with 3 chokes. £385 with a lifetime guarantee. (provided you have it serviced every 2 years.) So far it has cycled everything I have put through it and hasnt missed a beat. At that money you cant go wrong. bennyuk
you should seriously consider a remy 1100 or a beretta 301/2, both should be in your budget and you can find loads of decent second hand ones. I have a remy 1100 that cycles everything i put through it, just give them a decent clean every once in a while.

JonnyR
I just shot the Benelli Sp'auto with a Breda Astro yesterday - got a funy look off the GMK girls when asked what make of gun I was using. It is basically a Benelli Montefeltro copy and is completely reliable. Not sure if it is still made but I am sure a s/h one would be in your price range. cheers,
yickdaz
if you are willing to pay a bit more i would consider the new browing maxus getting one myself ordered one in at local gun shop they had em on the shelf but in camo and composite i prefer the wood finish heard great things about em most reliable and fastest cycling semi auto on the market £1000 new or £850 second hand. soreshoulder
i think a remington 1100 would fit the bill nicely and everyone who shoots it comments on how well they shoot with it! or a beretta 303 or the likes, go with the main brands and you cant really go wrong
