mpk
Hi all just wondering if anyone new of a gun around the £350 mark that is steel proofed (pump or auto or o/u) that will cope with a minimum of a 3'' cartridge . I was planning to buy a supernova but my cash flow has just gone southward. Its going to be used for wildfowling so it will get dropped in the mud etc (not deliberately) So not too bothered as to what it looks like. Cheers all  Edited June 9, 2010 by mpk

vole
I use the Escort pump ( Fieldhunter ) ,it is good for 3 in steel, for general shooting and have not had a single problem with it.
Markio
I use the Escort pump ( Fieldhunter ) ,it is good for 3 in steel, for general shooting and have not had a single problem with it. I have one too. No cycling issues as it's a pump, and it's even cheaper than the Auto version. Ok, it's not particularly refined but at the cost you wouldn't expect it. sticko
another vote for the hatsan escort 3 year warranty 3inch cant go wrong had mine for a year cant kock it for wildfowling but dont go for the 3.5 inch as they are unreliable plastic stock wont swell if it gets wet probably going to get slated for writing this but try one no frills does what it says on the tin and they are all steel proofed

Nial
Another option's a Remington 11-87, or the later 1100's which have 3" chambers too (I believe). I've had boxes of 21g & 24g clay cartridges through my 11-87 with no jamming! N.
