Dempy
I'd just get a horse electric fence post for a fiver IF I wanted to do the same job http://www.farmway.co.uk/gallagher-electri...st-pk5-1966.htm I thought I would probaly make one, but the one you posted the link for is £22.95 not a fiver! I would sooner spend £45 than £22.95 and look that cheap!
Dekers
****!!! What sort of tart are you, and how much do you really want to cart around...chuck it on the ground like the rest of us mortals!! But a new slip when it gets dirty..it's cheaper than the stand!! Flashman
Mungler's very impressed with his at the moment. Has anybody used one in the field? I love a toy and our shoot is sticky Essex clay, so anything that reduces the amount of mud I carry home is a bonus, if this thing is practical. Paul223
i can see a use for them on very wet days (like the charity shoot at hodnet), all my gear was soaked through, and the gun slip was picking up mud and grit at pretty much every stand, don't know if I'd pay £45 though

I would sooner spend £45 than £22.95 and look that cheap! That's for a pack of five! You can buy them individually it was just the first link I found! £22.95/5 is actually only £4.59 :look:
Mungler
It's funny but when I deployed my shooting slip stick at the Essex Team shoot I did get some flack, but after the initial mickey taking there was a line of people wanting to know where to get one from. For me it's less so for the clay shooting grounds (but it is useful because it means that you don't end up laying your slip or gun on wet ground, for example) but it will be best served on game days. Dunno, doesn't look that robust. I want something I can ram into the ground and even uneven ground (like a ploughed field).
