Ferret Master
Hi, Please excuse my lack of knowledge when it comes to identifying dead geese but were they all Greylags because one looks quite white or is this just a less common lighter colour? henry d
If they weren`t greylags and were a hybrid then they are not allowed to be shot as they are not on the list of quarry species IMHO(and possibly the police/RSPB)

game_boy
Could be a feral goose in which case I thought it was alright to shoot them. Anyway as long as it tastes nice who cares.
henry d
.....police,anti`s,RSPB,anyone else as this is an open forum...... ....you know what thought did..... Poster beware ! game_boy
Do you regard a feral goose to be the same as a hybrid goose? I know of ferals that have been shot and nothing was ever said about that. What a silly conditon you can't shoot a feral goose but you would be able to shoot the two species of goose poviding they are of legal quarry ?? How bizarre Edited December 26, 2005 by game_boy
Cranfield
With the mix up in posting, I think Jon Boy shot those geese on Christmas Eve morning.

Frank
Great bag mate and good shooting. Greylags do vary in colour, some are nearly white. They should be very tasty them. Mmmmmmmmm
Jon-Boy
sorry chaps been nursing a bad xmas hangover! They were shot the tuesday before xmas. The goose in the middle is a white goose yes. However the land we were shooting on, the land owner has permission from defra for us to shoot any type of goose (certain amount only) and out of season. They keep pooping everywhere and there are hundreds of the *******! They taste very nice yes!!! hope you enjoyed the pics
