ollie Posted August 10, 2010 Report Share Posted August 10, 2010 Got a phone call this morning from my fathers mate asking did I want to go and look for a bit of pigeon shooting. We set off bout 10am and found a field of Barley stubble that had quite a few crows and pigeons in it; went and asked the lannd owner and her was happy for us to go ahead. Were set up for about 11.30am (just after the rain stopped for the day) and finished about 4.30pm. We ended up shooting 90 pigeons and 8 blackies. Forgot the camera so had to take the pic on the lawn when I got home. Not in the pic are 3 ferals, a few woodies that we lost and the blackies. Throughly good day and I was delighted with my new PB. We shared the bag pretty evenly and we both shot quite well; we coulda stayed on to try and get the red letter day but my stomach was telling me other wise. Mine was 27 between three of us I remember then one day out with Deny Essex we picked up 74 and lost a few as well. I was beaming and still do thinking about it, the fact that not only did I get my first left and right but I did it 3 times helps. Nice write up and picture, thanks for sharing.
