motty
Shot on a rape stubble today. The field is three fields over from the one i shot 105 on about a fortnight ago. I didn't take any pictures then, so i thought i'd take the camera today. I was set up for about 10.30am with my hide in the middle of the field. I had two magnets to start with, along with 20 flocked shells on top of the rape stalks- the farmer had kindly agreed to leave the stubble alone for one more day so that i could have a good shoot on it. I was soon amongst the birds, so i added a fair few dead ones on cradles. I have pictures of the set up, but i have taken them in far too high resolution! I didn't shoot too well but still had the 100 up by 2.30pm. The flight had really slowed. I stayed for another hour and added a few more before calling it a day. Final score- 115 pigeons and 1 crow. I got the net off ebay a few years back.I use it whenever i shoot on stubbles now. It was about £20 and was 20ft by 10ft. Bargain.Cut it in half and gave other half to my dad. Don't think you can get them that cheap now.

Ferret Master
Can't fault that. I dare say you did a good job looking after that rape in the Winter? And that's why the farmer was willing to put off discing it in for your benefit. FM

I think the farmer felt obliged to help me in that respect and leave the field a day longer. It's going to cost me yet another bottle of whiskey at christmas! Well done, like the hide is it a ex army desert net? Yes, it certainly is.
