AdamW
Guys don't want to go the liner route, as I want flat sides, and a quick install, as it will be above ground by a couple of foot! Am really looking for a large round bowl, but have no idea where to look Adam

artschool
i had exactly the same problem about a year ago. all the prefromed liners cost an arm and a leg and i didnt want a curvy submerged pondliner type. so i built a rectangular shaped 8ftx4ft by 3ft(ish) high pond out of marine plywood and spare decking. the inside was lined with old carpet and finished with pondliner(cheap). the construction of the sides was just 100mm studwork. V8landy
I use this compnay all the time at work for used equipment See the red tank number 249 http://www.3diequipment.com/products.asp?m...dx=1&catx=2 I have asked them for a qute for you. If you need 1500 gallons = 6819 L = ~7m3 @ a diamter of approx 8ft (= 2.4m) for a 4 ft depth, thefore you would need to cut it down in height to 4ft. At least it will give you a rough idea, but I suspect trasport costs will be as much as the tank.

gixer1
what about a central heating oil plastic tank? they are 1800 litres complete so if you cut the top off it would probably be around the volume you need and i'm sure a manufaturer of these would have unsellable/damaged ones lying about FOC? V8landy
Guys, looking for something around the 1500 gallon mark Adam what about a central heating oil plastic tank? they are 1800 litres complete he needs 1500 Gallons not litres! That = nearly 7000 Litres. Unless in his orginal post he has mixed up gallons and litres? Edited September 1, 2010 by V8landy

V8landy
This pool on ebay is the correct diamter (8ft) but only half the depth he says he needs (2ft rather than 4 ft) /BESTWAY-Fast-Set-Pool-8-x-
AdamW
Guys, Thanks for the replys, yep its 1500 gallon, the current pond in the old house is about 1800 gallons, but I am only bringing a few fish from it.. the big ones! I am being lazy and want a quick fix, so a pre formed shape would work for me! as long as the cost is right. I have a friend that works for a fibre glass co making large water container, I have tried him in the past, will try again! I was hoping that there would be some sort of large plastic bowl on the market somewhere not too expensive.. Thanks Adam
