Regarding the ammo, I believe you don't have to have a certificate to possess section 2 shells, only section 1 ammo. Hope you get your equipment back though, and at least your guns were not stolen. When I started shooting a couple of years ago I was up at our local clay place quite a bit. One of the regulars had cartridges stolen from a locked car, they were out of sight, and was told by his FEO that if it happened again he'd lose his certificate. (Although if this happened to me and I have BASC behind me I think that could be challenged). Is there any downside to not mentioning cartridges to the police when reporting the theft? Nial.
