HDAV
My can of "barricade" was running low so yesterday while at the clay ground i bought one of those massive cans of legia spray, used it tonight and my god it smells awful, far worse than barricade which i liked. How long does it take to use a can? or do i give it away at Xmas? whats the best smelling oil/spray? Edited October 11, 2010 by HDAV

webber
I like the smell off Legia, not a lot, but enough to know that gunsmiths also like the smell when you go to trade in a gun. webber

dave1419
Used the Browning Legia spray in both the large red cans and small green cans for many years, the green can is for the woodwork and the red for lubricating and cleaning the metal parts,i would not use any thing else on my guns--cracking stuff and lasts forever
Devon Fox
many years ago i used duckoil - that was fairly stinky as well - although I dont mind legia too much!
DaveK
I'm happy enough with Legia. mind you I use my gun as a shooting tool rather than a pot pourri. Who cares how the stuff smells provided it keeps the rifle working nicely?
HDAV
Who cares how the stuff smells provided it keeps the rifle working nicely? IT gives you away to the missus when you have "been working from home" but spent the day shooting! Also limits were one can clean the gun to outside, fine in the summer not so great in winter.... Dekers
Smell Can't say I've spent any time thinking about it but it is certainly not unpleasant in my opinion. I like the stuff and find it useful, even though that tin is hard to find a cupboard shelf for!
