woodcock1
Out today in search of an early one however I didnt see any. Its usually 1 week after the October full moon when the first migrants arrive here in mid ulster. Im sure there are birds on the north coast by now and a few days to build their strength they'll be with me.

I only had 3 last year...left them as they were all dieing with the bad weather. I didn't have many myself last season, maybe 8/10 max ! I never fired another shot after the cold weather ban - even when it was over, I thought the birds had it tough enough. f3
