I was in exactly the same situation as you when I bought my first Nikko, a Gameking 4-16x50 ir ao and I'm mighty pleased I did. It gets used during the day at dawn/dusk and also under lamp and I think it's great, liked it so much just recently went and bought a 6-24x50 ir ao Gameking and stuck it on my hmr. Brilliant scopes for the money in my opinion.

By the way if you want a bargain ........

This guy is Optics Warehouse trading on the bay of E, it's where I bought mine recently, top service, was at my door next day, I think it's stuff he was clearing out when he moved premises recently.

:good:???

Generally Nikko are like a number of others, Hawke and JSR for example.

They offer budget price scopes at reasonable prices and therefore offer good value for money.

Optically, I am very impressed with JSR scopes, but hate with a vengeance their Allen key turrets, and build quality is certainly not the best, but they are very competitively priced!:good:

I am looking to buy a new scope & with budgets & cash flow a little tight, was wondering what the nikko gameking series are like to use. Are they a good eye relief & clarity? Any info on a good scope or if you have a nikko would help my quest. Thank you.

Hi,

You don't say what it's for but I have a Nikko Sterling Mount Master 3-9x40AO on my HW100 air rifle. for the price they are good value and I haven't noticed any issues with it. Not sure I'd want to be using it for deer or anything like that though.

Hunter 1968, I see that you are only in Bury which is quite close to me so maybe I can help you out with a bit of "hands on experience" with a Gameking scope. I have a Gameking 4-16X60 on my Bruno .222 which I am delighted with for both daytime and lamping use. I could go on and sing it's virtues for ages as I do rate it very highly for what is basically a budget scope but "the proof of the pudding is in the eating" so they say so why not come on out and have a look at and try my rifle and scope combination. It is surely the easiest way to form your own opinion mate!

I am sending you a PM with my contact details in case you would like to take up my offer!

Incidentally, you have not said what rifle you would be hoping to use it on!

Got my Nikko Stirling 6-24x50 AO illuminated scope as recomended by Ian750 above.

Couldnt wait to get it zeroed but unfortunately the one I got had a fault.

To get it anywhere near Zero I had to adjust the Windage fully to the right and even then it could have done

with a few extra clicks. (elevation was fine)

I also noticed that when I changed the Magnification, the POI changed.

I got straight on to the seller 'optics warehouse' in Devon and they have been very good.

So although a bit disappointed I'm not up and running, at least they are replacing it without any hassles.
