al4x
wonder how long it will be before the Irish contingent start saying what are the RSPCA doing seizing dogs from ****** these definitely look like working dogs presumably from someones kennel so fingers crossed, its why microchipping is so important as even the ****** struggle to get them out
dazza
I take it they had good reason to sieze them? If they had then why do they have to give them back? Are you saying a few charity workers went to a travellers camp and took the dogs saying they might belong to somebody but if they don't you can have them back? garyb
With all due respect... Working spaniels are not the sort of dog the travelling fraternity in these parts (anyway) normally house as "pets" doglost.co.uk are a worthwhile cause for anyone who keeps / works dogs. al4x
at a guess the police asked them to take them when they raided the camp for something else, they aren't ***** dogs as you couldn't run them on hares which is all the travellers tend to do. Its quite a regular occurrence police removing dogs from the camps and other stolen goods at the same time.
darren m
fingers crossed that the true owners come forward hope there chiped
Elby
If they were seized can't someone just put their name to them and take them away?
Stealth Stalker
Gazza Remember the 2 dubious blokes that turned up beating last year with the 2 scrawny, matted ESSes, cracking little workers, but the dogs didn't seem to know their "owners" We never saw them again, they didn't stay to be paid or for the meal afterwards & you know what happened a few weeks later When you say these type of dogs are not the norm for the Didds, I beg to differ. It says in the advert the RSPCA seized them not the police. If they suspect their stolen then why do they have to give them back after so many days? I forgot to add.....since when could the RSPCA seize dogs?
al4x
your hatred of the RSPCA gets in the way a bit at times Dazza, you don't seriously think they went into a ***** camp off their own back to seize the dogs do you. Round us they go in with ARV's helicopters and the full on works to even get vehicles back off the scum so I can't see the RSPCA picking on them, hopefully the real owners are found there will be more to this story than the small piece posted there. dazza
Your right they can't go in anywhere and seize dogs no more than the Help The Aged could. Like you say there is a lot more to this story. If the dogs are stolen I hope they get back to there rightful owners.
Elby
Wasn't there an article in The Shooting Times last week about dogs being stolen to order? Tony Price from Tawnyhill kennels was interviewed about it, I never saw it but was told by someone
Dirty Harry
They steal springers and cockers to bait their fighting dogs. They like these dogs because they are very determined and don't give up. They even nick little toy breeds just to let the dogs kill them.
