nickcass23
Got both mate and for me its Harris all day long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
killer_pigeon
Harris gets the vote from me also, tried a cheaper one once and never again, it just flexed and wasnt as sturdy and was generally rubbish. pay a bit more for Harris and you wont regret it
sapper063
nothing wrong with the claw bipod from uttings, change to different rifles in seconds and no drilling
Dekers
Very difficult this one. I have a couple and they are both Harris. You have to be realistic, there are those thet get a 12ft lb air rifle and go out a couple of times a year, and there are those that use a rifle every day and swap bipods around all over! How do you equate bangs per buck???
deejay
Ha ha ha hmmmm its not what I wanted to hear ...........looks like its going to be more white lies to the wife ,but what would be the good one to get . I would imagine its going to be the tilt and swivel or maybe just the swivel.
Dekers
Ha ha ha hmmmm its not what I wanted to hear ...........looks like its going to be more white lies to the wife ,but what would be the good one to get . I would imagine its going to be the tilt and swivel or maybe just the swivel. There is only a bit of TILT on any (as far as I'm aware) but that is not usually an issue, swivel is a MUST unless all you ever intend is range shooting! I thought that it wouldnt ne a great difference apart from price and swivel is a must or I gonna be dragging the bipod legs through the mud ha ha . Well ok now what price are we looking at for this kind of bipod then about £60 or are they more than that ?
Colster
I bought both of mine second hand for about that, just keep an eye out they come up for sale second hand but they don't hang about for long. They are pretty bomb proof so make a good buy second hand. I had a Nikko one which was ok but not as sturdy as the Harris.
peek-at
Have a look on Dealextreme SKU 26217 27 cm Bi-pod I have one fitted to my CZ452 (see photo below) It is a swivel/gravity leg/quick detach style and was dead easy to fit to existing studs. I have found it to be sturdily built and does the job without paying a fortune. Only around £20 delivered cheers

deejay
Never mind all that now .............I have just spent only £110 on a harris with all the shiny bits and pieces ,I think there must be some gold in the legs for that price but dont want to strip them down yet to get to it . thanks Darren
Ian750
I bought Colsters old Nikko Bipod when he sold it on here and to be honest I think it's great. But, and it's a big but, I've never had or used a Harris, so have nothing to compare it to. That Dealextreme jobby looks a bargain!
M.A.Gnun
Hi all .I am just wondering ,how many if any have bought one of the cheaper bipods from that she bay site . Whats your views on them and are they recomended . Or is it the harris all the way . Regards Darren hi daz i bought one from e bay -a shooters ridge pivot bi-pod 14.5-29.1/4 inch -as im nearly 6ft 4 the height is perfect for me to shoot from a bench (club) and if i fully extend the legs i can sit in a field (hide) at groung level and it meets my sight eye perfectly - its like anything really though ,if you look after it keep it checked over oiled cleaned it will last you as long as any i reckon -i like to go against the grain occasionally and try least costly kit -if money is no object get a harris but if you have a set ammount then go for the other -you will save at least 50 quid ,put the saving to another bit of kit you might need and your half way there to keeping the mrs sweet ? mabe not i paid 46 quid for mine some time back they have gone up a tad now -they do all different sizes, here is the link for one i got -if you go to "see other items" you will get thre http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230540615525&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:GB:1123

Evil Elvis
I found a guy on the bay selling chinese army bipods. They work out around £30 each.Hes based in Australia. They are posted and arrive within the week.I have one on all my rifles as they are cheap enough not to need to swap them around which is a pain in the ***., never let me down.I broke a weld on one falling over but made of sufficciently good metal that it was easy to re-weld the joint. Never looked back, and while i dont use my rifles every day...they get a lot of use!!! I have 3 of them which would have been one harris.
