Great Idea mate. Another I dea I saw on the net was to use a bottlenecked rifle case. Fill 1/2 full with powder, tilt on side and slowly turn. It is very easy to control, and cost is nil. I use a 243 case myself.

Redgum
And to compliment it you could add a little alley spoon, I made one out of a coke can, cut out a square, then cut a spoon shape out of that leaving the handle thick enough to fold over for a bit more rigidity. ( Then again a transport cafe coffee stirrer will do the job)
stripey999
Having seen this in the flesh, so to speak, I think it looks even better than it does in the photo. Great bit of shed work there. Good job Phil.
Blunderbuss
Bloody hell Phil that's a neat piece of work, you could sell those!
activeviii
I could sell them but then it would be a one off. i need to get a small piece of stainless tube in 8mm as i don't like the alu one thats on it. it spins sweet but i thing a polished stainless one or even a piece of car aerial would spin even easier. talk about spoons, next i was going to make a throw pot for 20.5Gn so i could trickle the last grain for my 21.5Gn load on the trip2. i have made one that i can adjust but its not the same as the trickle. Phil.
Billy.
Send one my way when you start selling! Good stuff
Hornet 6
Nice work there, what thread form did you use in the tube ? I need to sort a decent trickler out, I have been using an RCBS one which has worked well, right up until I started using H110 It is so fine it is jamming the tube up Neil. activeviii
there is no thread in the tube. it is the same as the RCBS with an open pot and a tube going through. i need to make a small adjustment as im having the same problem with kernels catching. humperdingle
Assuming you're not going to start selling them, would you maybe show some pictures of the individual components used?
Hornet 6
there is no thread in the tube. it is the same as the RCBS Mine is an RCBS, and it has an internal thread through the tube, this is why when you turn it in one direction it does a slow trickle, turn the other way and it's a faster trickle. Neil.

Neil. Ah right! so it has a sort of worm screw in the bore of the tube. mine is just hollow, as you turn the tube the kernels flatten out, with one end blocked they can only go one way. once it has been primed i can tap lightly and get a kernel at a time to fall out. not that im being that accurate with things 21.5gn is what im looking but .1 either way in not a worry for me. no paper targets just fur at sub 100 mtrs.
