Shooting insurance

Is it the Liability part or do you want to insure guns & kit??

All the organisations seem to give some liability cover with membership. And all the gun/kit policies seem to include liability ...

As Dekers says ... just shop around and might be worth checking your household insurer.

The insurance is one thing but when you need help and advice and maybe even legal assistance...a bog standard insurance won't give you that.

I am paying for peace of mind, a voice in shooting matters and a helping hand should the brown stuff ever hit the fan.

Well worth it for the extra few quid I am paying.

pretty sure one of the shooting magazines does insurance for 16.95 for a year or something like that!

Sporting Shooter Association...

I joined for the insurance as you say £16.95 a year....covers me for all my needs

But as has been said for backup i dont think you can go past BASC

I guess its a bit like all insurance... does it do what you need at a price you're happy/ can live with ... ??

There's a similar thread on another site and one of the packages even includes a legal insurance for shooting /licensing matters.

One size don't fit all?

Pay your money and make your choice.

Like all things, the lower the cost, typically the less you get.

Cheap insurance is fine, if you can live with the limits and restrictions on the policy, and the limits on when you can actually claim on the policy.

As I have said so many times before, check the full policy wording before you part with your cash, otherwise you have no idea what you are actually buying!

The chance of you ever making a claim is remote, because shooting is so safe and well run, so look at what else the associations deliver for you and for shooting.

All the associations offer more than just insurance of course, so pick the one that fits you best.
