stubby
I picked up from a second hand shop, a cuddly toy curlew, for £1, opened it up and took the electronic device out, that when pushed, cheeps like a curlew for around 20 seconds, Im sure it would get a foxes attention

steve_b_wales
Two Magnum ice lolly sticks. One thin piece of plastic (from a packet of ham-works well) Tape the plastic to one lolly stick, create a small gap by adding a bit of insulation tape to each end of the stick, them put the other stick on top, and tape ends together. This is a brilliant way of making callers, and you can experiment by adding more layers of plastic etc. I have called in more foxes by this method, than all the callers I've bought, including electronic ones. PM me if you want more detailed instructions. Steve.

nicholiath
I bought a cd with 40 calls on it off fleabay for £1.75 then down loaded them to my ipod /mp3. I just plug in a small external speaker, bobs your uncle you have a caller with volume control and you can put individual calls on a repeat cycle or make a playlist of calls to play in sequence. Sub-Moa
One ive used and have some success with, not loud but with practise i find it helps to get foxs in those last few yards Take 2 spent shotgun cartridges and cut off the plastic, the melt/burn off the rest of the plastic Pop the used primers from the inside out Make a small slice down the side of one the brass pieces thats left Now insert the uncut one into the cut one Place some insulation tape around the circumfirance (spl) Practise with it and you will end up with a low volume call If using a mp3 then here are some calls My link
