finnerz89
Hi, recently applied for my SGC (actually have my date with the inspector tomorrow ) just wondered how you lot store your cartridges, my old man just kept them in separate rooms but that was a while ago now, do you just keep them out of the way or in a locked draw etc? TomV
there is no requirement to keep shot gun cartridges in a locked safe or similar
swiss.tony
There no law on keeping shotgun ammo locked away at minute but watch this space . But common sence say you should and most do you need to make it as hard as possible for any one to put both together .

finnerz89
I'll go with the shelf option for now, but I was considering the lock box anyway!
apache
I usually buy them by the thousand and can have as many as 3000 in store at any one time. I keep the unopened boxes under the bed and the opened boxes on a shelf above the gun cabinet. Police happy with this.

No. It's just a combination of space and money and the gf that limits my purchasing! 10,000 would take up a lot of space and tie up quite a sum of money. I bulk buy when on offer. semiautolee
i keep mine on a shelf, up a height, in my gun cupboard with a locked door. out of sight is the best way to start off.

Pigeon Adam
Somewhere hidden, and speak nicely to the Firearms Officer, then you will be fine. As long as you dont say you want to shoot people or use a shotgun in defense you will be fine and it will be passed. ATB Adam
AlistairB
Slabs in various hideaways in the house, loose boxes locked in a gun safe in the garage. AB
