proTOM1
Well its the 2nd of feb so i always go out on the estate to have a bash at the pigeons i could not shoot in the game season . Got to my spot at 8am windy and overcast ,had a bale hide so that was nice put out rotary then saw it had a problem and after 10mins knew it would be best not to make the problem any worse . So i put out my 12 half shell decoys in a l shape 15 yards from the hide and sat back . First birds seen at 8.30 am and came in a treat the after the first hour i had 26 birds down but had seen thousands here there and everwhere for the rest of the morning things were steady . At about 11.30 saw a few birds heading my way very high and there were not stopping would say over 4000 in the group :o Later on a plane put up over 500 birds a few fields away which came right at me and over half came in , and i had to pick my bird swung through pulled the trigger and 2 dropped on to another pulled the trigger and another 2 dropped never done that before . Packed up at 2.30 pm with 79 picked and 3 lost Was good but was hoping for a ton but i saw loads just needed the rotary Edited February 2, 2011 by proTOM1
