Well the weather was better than last week(rain) with clear sky and little wind to speak of.

Lots of birds about but flying very high till late in the day.

I managed to get 10 for 20 carts, not as good as last week 26/31

How did everyone else that was out get on.

It was **** compared to last week, no wind or rain made for very high birds and very sporadic it was fast and furious the week before. All i had was a jay fired 15 shots the majority of them were fired at high crows!

Hopefully we get a bit of wind and drizzle next week, get a bit more sport not that i can hit them!

someone has shot the poo out of the woods every day for 2 weeks and now there's not a bird in sight. i don't understand some people and what their thinking. messed all the roost shooting up for everyone as its a big wood that 10 people could cover. now the birds are in a different wood that no one can shoot and the birds are still hitting crop. :sly::angry:

DOne badly at the club shoot on one of our most pigeon populated estates, loads of pigeon almost everyone was shooting from the time we entered the woods at around 3pm. High open larches interspaced with dense sitka spruc where the birds were dropping into from a great height, this is a place where a good strong breeze or even half a gale is essential - on Saturday we had bright sunshine and calm conditions. Picked up 6 and might have had one more to find , as yet I have not counted the number of shells fired but must be in excess of 40.

Managed to pick 6 and plucked a more few too. Birds were high and fast flighting over the wood until around 4pm when the flightline dried up. I could have had three times the number if I had put some floaters out to bring them closer. Over all I was pleased with the result as pigeons have been hard to get recently. Once they are disturbed from the field they don't come back. Getting a few shooters out worked well.

I'll miss next week due to work.

didnt do too well on friday, another bloke stood at the bottom of the wood and shot at them when they were circling high up and ruined it for a few of us!

managed 2 pigeons, 2 squirrels and 1 rook with 8 shots.

smaller bag than week before but alot less shots!

hoping for more wind next friday, will be heading to a wood that hasnt been shot yet

I only got 3 for two days roosting when I was down between Dover & Deal over the weekend, two came into the trees and one was a cracking 40 yard shot. Oh well now I am back in Coventry where there seems to be nothing flying.
