reggiegun
Hi, What happens when my FLO comes to check my licence renewal and see's no ammo entered on my licence as I load my own, the gun shop I get my bullets from says he only needs to see my license and not enter anything. Billy.
The dealer doesn't have to make a record on your licence, but he or does have to on his register. So there's a record at his end, should one need to be produced
seeker
I was told to keep receipts, or just an informal record book .. so I have my 'reload records' and shots fired.
Alycidon
It is a good idea to get your dealer to enter them on your ticket anyway but do also keep reloading records. I always ask to have them entered without problem. A
Vince Green
I just keep receipts but nobody has ever asked to see them.
henry d
......just an informal record book .. so I have my 'reload records' and shots fired. +1 Just keep a record of your loads as and when you make them up, any left over when he visits will show how many you use over a five year period. Vermincinerator
I have logged every batch of handloads i have done since 1984, i have several folders full so come renewal time i get out the relevant folder for the last 5 years ready for my FEO's inspection, but he knows i reload and declines everytime i ask if he wants to see my handloading log Ian. wy111
After several renewals, never been asked by the FEO to see my old licence. All bullets for reloading have always been entered by dealers. Maybe it's a "North Yorkshire" thing, as the licencing authority seems to pretty well laid back, open tickets on majority of 1st applications, even for .243 and rarely is mentoring involved (Sorry Frenchie ). Would hate to have to go through the hoops like some of you do
DaveK
Why not just load a batch and enter them onto your ticket. You gave them to you, your authority being your FAC. Simples.
Hunter_zero
the gun shop I get my bullets from says he only needs to see my license and not enter anything. Reggiegun If your buying expanding ammunition (bullets) your deal needs to enter these on to your FAC as the bullets count towards maximum ammunition levels. However this is not true if your buying FMJ bullets. John
RC45
I reload my .44. I just keep a log of what I loaded, but not when I used it. Should I note when I fired my ammo?
