MDK
me and dad both got our licences, but havent got round to enquiring about how to make the one gun we have shared on our tickets. im going shooting tomorrow without him so need to do this as soon as possible. pleese help!! i just want to know what to write on eachothers tickets to make the gun shared.?? thanks, cookie im new to this game myself so might get put in my place if wrong, if one of you takes sole ownership on SG the other can borrow it for max 72 hrs without having to sign over on ticket all the time. not heard of duel ownership on tickets, but then again ive not been in the SG game long myself, but as stated you can borrow anyones SG for a max of 72hrs. assuming your over 18 and not needing supervision? rcooke25552
as above. you can borrow it for 72 hrs so unless you need it longer any time, i would leave it at that and pop an email to your local licensing dept.

airgunalex
if you give it back to him withiun 72 hours there is no need to write on either certificates. You can set it up with the FAO to have one person as the owner of the SG and one the "accessor" therfore you are both able to use it when ever! this is then written on your certificate
pigeonstool
Just get it added to the other certificate - that's how mine and wife's done .. i.e. One cert each BOTH with the same guns on the list ... simples -- egh ? Did firearms section send you a 'notification' form ? - if not - ring em up for one .. fill in .. send back .. write it on your cert. yourself .... easy peasy
ross-obrien
When i was living at home, both my dads and my cert had all the guns we owned on both certificates. When i moved to Derbyshire, the feo asked if i still wanted to keep my dads guns on my cert even though the guns were in Manchester. GMP added all guns at the point my cert was granted so i dont know what the procedure is after certs have been issued. Ross
welshwarrior
My wife has all my shotguns on her SGC as done by the FEO so she can use/move them as needed that way we only need 1 cabinet for shotguns and then one for my rifles. Just put them as loaned and when you email the transaction to the police explain that both of you will use it and have access then the can't complain!!!!! dougall
If gun held in same cabinet just inform your FEO that both have access to same gun.Not a problem at all. My son has mine on his licence in the event he ever uses/borrows one of mine..straightforward don't panic!
apache
You are overcomplicating. Borrow it for less than 72 hours - notify or email no-one. Simple.
HDAV
Also you never write on your own cert

Gobfish
Having previously spoken to my licensing office my father and I wrote all of our guns onto both of our certificates, when the certs came up for renewal, sent a covering letter explaining that we had pooled our guns so that either could use them with no 72 hour hassle, also if one of us was away for any time, the guns were moved to the others premises as a security measure. This meant each gun was registered twice (once on each certificate) This worked fine for many years. When he passed away all I had to do do was inform his licensing office quoting my cert number and his. problem free
HDAV
Sensible way to do it
hawkeye
My son lives in London and he has written on his FAC that he has full use of any gun that is named on my certificate to shoot on any land that he has permission to shoot on.. They only state that all guns must be kept at my address...but he has full access to them...
