KennyB
to be honest i havent, i find them very accurate and clear out to beyond 100yds,For less than £140 great budget scope, was out last week on the bunnies with a friend 71 in total and shot 25 on the trot, out to about 110 yards without the dot
kent
I don't realy rate Hawke as a high end scope, ok useable and pretty good value they are. as for illuminated reticules i feel they are a gimic on this type of scope the money of building them would be better spent on the glass to my mind, certainly not a must have

ollie
I have the Hawke nite-eye 3-9x50 IR on my .22lr, cost me 50 quid brand new and I can't fault it. The scope has never lost zero once (including 1 night i slipped and landed on top of the rifle) and it is fine for the rimmie. I am not sure what it would be like for centrefire if you were to take a shot around 200 yards under the lamp.
Dekers
Frankly, all the Hawke scopes serve a purpose, and some of the Japanese ones at the top end are pretty reasonable, it's all about perspective and VFM. I have 3 illuminated ret scopes, God knows why, I can't remember the last time I ever turned them on!
soulboy1957
Ive got a Hawke Endurance ir scope the 3-10 X 56 i think, they are good and in that "in between" .......bit of less than £100 not very good and not the £800+ German stuff.....these sit somewhere in the middle, and at £250 ish are good value for money. Evil Elvis
I have a hawk sidewinder 8-32x56 0n my hmr, cracking piece of glass for the money, certainly all you need on a hmr. Raja clavata has an s&b on his hmr and I think the only advantage is he gets about another 20 mins of light as the s&b sucks it in better. pat g
I have a Hawke Frontier 2.5-10x44 on my 22 rimmie. Japanese optics and built in Japan for £95 brand new off E-bay . For that sort of money you can't go wrong. Does the job perfectly and is crystal clear. I have had S&B's, leups etc over the years and yes they are great scopes without a shadow of a doubt. However i do think that these days there is some snobbery attached where scope choices are concerned. At the end of the day buy the very best scope that you can afford and if theres a Hawke that suits your pocket and it does the job then fine ATB Pat
