Dead-Eyed Duck
Hi King ratty I was lamping foxes some years ago on a farm that had free range pigs (for lack of a better description). Anyway, the sows had separate pens, each with an area as a run. The farmer had been missing piglets, and we went there to see what we could do. We lamped a fox that was in a run with a piglet in its mouth, and I shot it with the 223. Down went the fox, and out squealing came the largest sow that I have ever seen. Not being brave enough to retrieve the fox as the sow was clearly outraged, we left it until the following day. Not much left of the fox at all - sow's revenge! Gemini
I had a bloody huge cat some years ago, and it once cornered a fox in my garden. On the same note I have also seen a neighbours cat cornered by two foxes, and had I not intervened I am sure they would have killed it. G.M. markbivvy
and had I not intervened I am sure they would have killed it. was this a left and right intervention, or a gerartovit.
Ferret Master
Hi, It depends on the fox I guess. I know for a fact that they will take kittens. FM

the pelt man
Foxy dose not take Cats for fear of getting injured, which they cant affored. They would take sick or dead Cats. The Fox seen on the railway with a Cat in its mouth would of picked it up after the Cat had been injured or killed by a Train. With the urban Fox population being very high as are Cats many Cats would be going missing or coming home injured & their would be a public ou tcry. Our old Tom would always go missing for a few weeks in Spring/Summer coming home with many injurys obtained through fighting other Toms while sowing his oats. Not from Fox's. Chezney
I'm sure foxes do take cats, but i know a cat that took a smaal fox or a cub... Was confused when we found a fox ripped up then black hair all inside it. It was explained quite quickly when the cat came upto us covered in blood and mess. But im sure a fox will pick off a cat occasionally.
