Hatsan Escort Review

Recommended Posts

june issue of sporting gun review of above gun. 85/100 not bad for a semi that a lot of people put down.

85% is appalling for a magazine review and one of the worst I have ever seen.

Grow up, when have you EVER seen a BAD review of ANY gun in magazine?

The Magazines don't have the balls to slag of any manufacture that advertises with them

It may be a strong action on the Merkel but how ugly are those barrel locking lugs ? I bet they make extraction of unfired carts tricky as well. If a gun is going to cost £10K then it needs to be asthetically pleasing as well as work well

my vote is that for 10k it is Carp !

Returning to the core of the thread

We all know the Hatstand has its place as The "budget" semi auto. They will appeal to those that have little money available for their shooting and those who don't want to take £1000 + worth of gun rough shooting

Theres clearly a few people who relay horror stories of problems with them, while there are others that state that theirs does precisely everything thats asked of it !

trying to grade it on the same scale as the merkel or any other expensive gun is pointless - Guns are not computer games.

As Dekers says the reviewers have to present every gun in a positive light otherwise they would risk the wrath of their advertisers. Read the reviews differently in future taking more view of whats not being said: for example if its an existing gun that has been tweaked a bit to produce this years model and the review doesn't mention the guns proven reliability then its probably not all that reliable!

I'm with Dekers with this one.

The reviewer, in this case Jason Harris, is hardly likely to slag off the Escort.

Afterall he does own Trulock & Harris, and a quick look at their website and surprise, surprise they're selling the exact same gun. And at a slightly lower price than the RRP mentioned in his article. <_<

The vast majority of reviews aren't worth the paper they're written on, 'one man's meat is another man's poison' and all that.
