243 and 200yd Zero

Anyway, from what I've been reading, that aint such a big deal if you've got a .243.

I don't know what the big deal is! I regularly shoot ladybirds off the heads of magic mushrooms at 1000 yards using Partizan factory ammo in my .243 from a free standing position, it's simple, just point, shut your eyes and shoot. By the time I get to the magic mushrooms I can guarantee that the ladybird has been blown clean away with no damage to the mushroom's cap!

p.s. I always pick the magic mushrooms afterwards to take home and make a cup of soup with - I think it's the soup that help me to see the ladybirds in the first place - Highly recommended, it improves my failing eyesight as I can see lots of things that I normally would miss!

yes the guy get a little bit over excited BUT he is very proud of what he has attachieved,he hasnt had a C/F for long but has done very well in that little time,more than others who had one for years,in his defence he has taken the time and spent the money to get his rifle shooting at its very best.

this is no mean feat,so instead of going out and bying the cheapest ammo and being happy with a 2 inch group at 100 yards hes spent hour s and hours and a lot of money actually testing to get the best performance to be able to pull off a cracking shot.

now if you gents dont want to do or know how to do what he has done get over it.

he has shown what can be done when you put the time and the work in.

take the time to read a few of the reports and watch a few videos of what can and is regulary done,there is also quite a few posts explaining how to start long range shooting.

I find your insult very offensive,and Iam far far from a "tool" i know all about robobsam I have seen him and read his posts on several forums,but you are missing the point

what he has done others only dream of,he has spent the time and the money to get the best performance from the kit he uses unlike others who sit back and struggle and only think that a 4 inch group at 100 yards is good enough,I know he has been a little over excited on the forums but give the guy a little credit for actually getting out there and testing

I see no need to question his shot if he did it or not as i know it can and had been done under the right conditions of course just like any other shot

So, it was blowing a gale. I thought I had picked up my shooting glasses (the ones with the Blue Irridium lenses that they advertise as being worn by Top Gun pilots) but it turned out I had picked up my nan's national health specs. Her eyes are ******, but I thought hey, I have the madest of mad skillz and I need a challenge, so I wore them anway.

 

I rocked upto a hill and through my military restricted not available for domestic use anywhere but very enviable and front page of Guns and Ammo piece of kit spotted a vole at 1500 yards.

 

Okay, so I had only had my FAC Air Arms S310 since the weekend before, but dammit it was tuned. I had this mutha tuned by Jedis at Brocock and when I shoot it I use the lighter fluid and swan vesta mad skillz mod up. I know that sounds like urban BS but if it can be done and I said it's been done then you have to believe me when I say that I have developed the super tuned tracer air gun round.

 

So, I get to the top of the hill, just above cloud line. Ok, I don't live anywhere near hills or mountains and so you should just take my word that I did this right. So, there's me and my BMX and modded super sweet S310 at the top of this mountain and I have seen a vole.

 

Well, I get a smoke out and spark up - at the same time I raise my S310 free hand and get ready for the shot. I took account of the spin of the planet, gravity and wind speed by flobbing a greeny hard and high - the way that bad boy fell was all I needed to know. That's because I'm special ops trained - I can't prove this and my camera broke all the way through basic training to deployment to passing out and so again you have to take my word for it because some people are special ops trained and it could therefore be true.

 

Back to my mad shot. So, I dial it in, well not so much "dial it in" but spin a Dewalt drill for 20 seconds on the top turret to get the hold over accounted for.

 

I raise the gun again and this time, it's on. However, the vole has now moved and skipped off to behind a rock. No problem, I've watched Quigley Downunder and I fire and bounce one off the rock into the vole. But no, I didn't kill the vole, because I was aiming for it's cock and like the mad skillz sniper I am - I shot its cock off.

 

Again, I have no friends who can confirm my account of this event or even confirm my ownership of an airgun, I cannot produce said vole's penis and my camera broke again.

 

Accordingly to Stevie Hawkin, anything is possible and so because anything is possible, this was all possible and you have to believe me.

I liked the bit where I indicated that the long range shooting community were overly accepting of anyone claiming to have shot something small at a massive distance, because in the long range shooting community it's all about shooting something small at a massive distance, and if someone says they have done it well dammit they must have done it because it can be done, and to deny it would be disrespecting the mad skillz of the long range shooting community who do that kind of **** day in day out because of their mad skillz etc.

It's also difficult because a Dodo swooped down and plucked the vole's penis off the floor and made off with it, thereby making it impossible for me to retrieve.

 

I'm sure you will understand and not question my integrity that the events I have claimed to have taken place, did in fact unfold in the manner as precisely stated.
