Sick Pigeon???

Just been out and shot a couple of woodies.

When I came to cut the breast meat from the second bird I noticed that it had a very plump breast....good I thought!

However on cutting it open I found that on one side of the breast bone there was what appeared to be a tumour-like object. The breast meat looked normal but behind it and directly against the breastbone was a sort of secondary breast fillet. It was yellowy couloured, solid and follwed the contours of the bird from the top of the breat to the bottom. There was a membrane between the breast meat and this secondary tissue.

Needless to say I left the bird for the buzzards!!!

Anybody seen anything like this before???

Wasn't nice!

Best
