Frenchieboy
I don't see why you should not use a semi auto at your local clay ground. There are several members in our club that use semi autos for clay shooting but they are only allowed to load two cartridges in it when to go on the stand and they must use a "flag" to show that it is empty and safe when they come off the stand! We even have one chap that occasionally used a pumper!
Sx3 clay breaker
I think insight order a flag tonic bet it's hard with a pump
mpk
I used to use a camo pump but now use a black auto, I don't shoot clays much either Edited May 23, 2011 by mpk

Highlander
Fine to use a s/a for clay shooting, it's widely accepted BUT never ever turn up on a smart driven game day with one! Remember Del Boy!

cant hit rabbits 123
My dad uses a 391 synthetic for clays, and when i shoot second rounds, when the score doesnt really matter, I use a mossberg 600 pump action. great fun.
Frenchieboy
I think insight order a flag tonic bet it's hard with a pump Definitely very hard with a pumper mate! I tried using my mates pumper and just could not get on with it at all - I shot so badly with it I am sure I had a box or cartridges that they forgot to put any lead shot in! Give me my trusty old SxS any day!
cant hit rabbits 123
Strangely enough, I've had better scores with my pump action than with my over and under : Mind you, it takes practise (and cylinder choke :look: ) to get decent scores.
