texas
Just recently ive bean shooting pigeons over spring rape and peas. Just used a dozen shells, couple of floaters and this new flapper I bought for £59 from decoydirect.com Couldnt believe how good this flapper really is and comes with timer. Works an absolute treat! If anyone is interested contact them asap as they will soon be sold out.

Cosd
The flapper is an excellent bit of kit that the pigeons can't seem to resist. I use mine with a remote and recently shot my first red letter day using the flapper and 20 flocked shells.

Jurrasicway
I always use flocked shells and go decoying for a couple of hours and get 15 to 30. I have been toying with buying either a flapper or a magnet for the last two years (slow starter I know) Can I ask all that view this post one question. If you only had the chance to buy one thing............. Magnet Or Floater?

caeser
Did you mean magnet or flapper? I was thinking that too. I think he did mean 'magnet or flapper' and not 'magnet or floater'. In which case, if I had to chose just one, I think I'd chose the flapper. I do tend to use it more than the magnet. But, i do like to have both at my disposal, because they both can be deadly at the right time.

It's a tough choice, and like you I am fortunate enough to have both to choose from. The flapper is more forgiving than the magnet, and doesn't tend to scare the woodies off like the magnet can, as we approach harvest though the magnet can be deadly. At the moment I've been using the flapper more than the magnet..........I'm going to sit on the fence on this one and say either.

motty
I've always had more faith in the magnet - attracts birds from further that the flapper won't.
