unapalomablanca
Its been a frustrating time but the countdown is beginning. I love it when the crops turn and the birds sit on the wires and the combine gets a clean over. I am going to milk the harvest this year, ive got a nice few fields with osr and wheat and also linseed gonna get 2000 carts and just take the mickey. I normally get going in about 4 weeks and just keep banging until it's all ploughed in. Anyone else excited!! I am booked to go on holiday (not my choice) the first week in August. You can bet that will be when the action is at its best! Gaz

Not had a sniff at pigeon for a while now, seems to be very quiet. I shoot around misterton/beckingham and out near Cottam and its the same over there. Fields are all wheat and as has been said on another post if you shoot them over standing wheat you cant find them! Not that I have seen any birds to talk of on them anyway. I have one shoot near beckingham where the pigeons have been landing in a grazing field in good numbers, trouble is its full of horses! Gutty Boots
We're normally a few weeks later getting started up here, but looking forward to it as usual. Decent bags, shooting all day in warmth ( for a change, hopefully!) Not to mention another fowling season just around the corner, happy days.
