Hi

Yes I use contact lenses they are great apart from extreme heat or wind (weather type lol) tend to dry out.

I have glasses but went to contacts for shooting because for me it was awkward trying to mount the gun (no smutty thoughts) with two windscreens on your head.

I use "Focus Dalies" Im am really pleased, mind you it has not improved my accuracy lol

best thing i did to make me more consistent as i found with glasses most Len's are quite small and i tended to lift my head slightly especially if they slipped forward with recoil also you have much better choice of shooting safety specs and cheaper than prescription shooting glasses

When you say contact lenses 'for' shooting, I'm guessing you are one of those people making a transition from specs to contact lenses? If I'm right - after a period of getting used to them - you will see a 'truer' sight picture with contact lenses because they are closer to your eye. You can then wear a pair of proper shooting glasses too.

I've worn them for 18 years (take them out at night tho..)

Most of my shooting these days is wildfowling. Best days are 'wild' days - rain and wind.

Can't shoot in glasses in those conditions. Got close to giving up as my eyesight deteriorated with

old age and glaucoma - then changed to contact lenses.

Nearly drove me, and the Memsahib, crazy at first. Getting the hang of them was not easy!

Split lenses, lenses coming out, lenses that wouldn't come out - you name it and I have done it.

Kept at it and 'hey presto' - got my shooting life back.

Never shoot without them now - rifle or shottie.

Only wear them for shooting and boating.

A little lubricant sometimes required if I have them in for a long period. (One eye gets 'itchy').

I use Focus Dalies as well.

Would definitely advise anyone to try them.
