Roman
Well shot guys Good to see you stayed top of the C class at ESP Ian; you were a nose ahead of the pack when we left. You shot well today. A tough shoot but enjoyable. Cheers., Roman
Azzurri
I enjoyed the targets today,a fair mix for everyone with some good pairs shown Didn't shoot well though, timing was way off for whatever reason and made hard work of everything today At least the weather was nice Azzurri. Mr Potter
I'm nearly too ashamed to post my score up on here!! so I wont It was pathetic, my score that is, I thought the shoot was just about right for a championship, pretty good mixture of targets all well within range (no 60 yarders) and a decent window of opportunity to shoot everything in. I watched each layout before our merry band shot and thought "I should do at least a 20+ on this" and I also thought a top shooter could straighten it so I expected a winning score of around 97/98/99. In my case I just don't now what happened, shot a 20 on my first layout and thought I was 2 or 3 birds light on that, after that it went downhill very rapidly, culminating in a decidedly miserable 14 on the final layout - *** as my old mate Ron would say The targets nearly all required an attacking style of shooting and all I could do was weakly wave my gun in the vague direction and at some point during this exercise pull the trigger, the gun went bang and I was somewhat shocked to see an unbroken clay sail on unmolested by lead. I trudged back to the car hugely disappointed, not with the targets but with the male member who'd been pulling the trigger. :o :o Only consolation was that, as I wouldn't be needed back on the Sunday for the medals ceremony, I could go to Fauxdegla as planned for 100 old style FITASC. That turned out to another long story with which I will bore you on another occasion Anyone selling any fishing gear? Azzurri, if I took up darts some poor ****** would end up in A&E and £250 from "You've been Framed" and the pint would end up all down my trousers and I'd look like Chard after he'd ****** himself Mr Pooter

Azzurri
the targets must have been tricky , anything moving aint easy , what about the top boys faulds, bigweed etc . Perhaps they'd seen how much the entry fee was and then checked out the Prize Money on offer and realised it just wasn't worth it Azzurri. I'm with you on that Azzurri, 48 squid for 100 targets, Oh and a "free" Costco bottle of water, an apple & a tin badge. We must need our heads examining, mind you it always seems 10 times worse when you've (really mean when I've) shot ****. Mr Potter
dr. lecter
£48 thats steep , the man with the money wins , good old cpsa competition costs wont encourage new members .
paulos
I don't know how the CPSA can charge that, with a clean conscience. I assume they only had 4 referees on? Someone's done ok out of the day! Even the BO skeet is £45 now! :o Edited August 1, 2011 by paulos

Someone's done ok out of the day! Even the BO skeet is £45 now! :o Yes and the really sad thing is my membership ran out today. The renewal cheque is going to take some writing. I know the cpsa thing has been done to death on the forums and there are some good people doing good work on our behalf there, but they are getting close to my limmit for taking the **** out of their members. At Doveridge yesterday it was nice to see the cpsa officials having a nice day, laughing and joking and generally enjoying the day,the new CEO looked very relaxed too, probably oblivious to how the membership is really feeling these days. Is this the cpsa moving forewards,i don't think so. Azzurri.
Ian E
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the CPSA will not of set the price for the event, the ground will of. Birds only was £38, which is still very expensive in the grand scale of things, and the event was fully booked, which shows there is a demand for it even at that price. Azzurri you should of asked the new CEO what he was doing to move the CPSA forwards when you had your chance :yp: Edited August 2, 2011 by Ian E
