Yeah, and he knows a mean scone recipe too  , well done Terry :good:

The scones double up well as clays.

Do you still use the recipe, I have used it for 50 years, and it it was at least that old when I got it, slighty sour milk improves the taste a little, covers the Bi Carb :hmm::hmm::hmm: , but now a days you cannot give out that infomation :o :no:

I know it off by heart now Ter' and have passed it on to loads of people, the last one being one of my old mothers carer's (a lovely polish girl...Monika), she tried it and raves about it. I did fluff up on the first attempt as they were too far apart on the tray so didn't rise too well but since then.....no prob's :good: The bread recipe is top notch too

I am really pleased they have worked for you and that the results have been pleasing,.

Placing the scones close together makes a really big difference, it is this sort of detail that the Delia's of the world miss out.

Oh go on then,

can you pm me the recipe for the scones?

cheers

shaun

It is on it's way via ziplex, whose memory is much better than mine, I need to refer to my old books.

I hope you enjoy them, it is a really easy recipe to use. Contact me if you have any issues.
