Sorry to hear of your loss

My dog has also been diagnosed with a heart murmur.

He started keeling over for no apparent reason and the vet said that the murmur was pushing blood clots out which were lodging in his brain causing fit/stroke type symptoms.

He is currently on tablets but still drops if he gets over excited or strains himself physically

Can't see him lasting the year out but will keep him on the tablets in hope.

This came out of nowhere and he was running round like a puppy a month or so ago.

You have to remain hopeful, like I said in an earlier post one of my springers had a murmur pretty much all of her life and she coped remarkably well, with medication.....good luck :good:
