Tomato juice and Worcester Sauce in my vodka - definitely a pick-up and one of my five a day.

Now is that the fruit or booze ration?

When I saw this thread I thought W-T-F but as a lad next morning we started with a tomato juice then added to it - that led to the next morning :oops: Thankfully I have grown out of that phase & don't need to start so gently now

Fruit preserved in spirit is a big one. Cherries are probably best known but almost all fruit can be preserved and add flavour. The practice of adding flavour to base spirit using fruit goes back many years and many traditional european liqueurs have their origin in the practice. Cherry brandy, peach Brandy, Calvados etc Even rum is just base spirit with molasses added

Investigate the rum pot it is a good ad hoc method of spicing up your drink. Rum in this sense is the older interpretation of the word meaning any base spirit rather than the rum we know today . They all start off the same as white alcohol from a distillery. The flavour comes later. Whiskey from the oak barrels, Gin from juniper berries etc. Today it is more often chemical flavouring that is added.

Long Island Iced Tea - wonderful drink !- Hic!

Equal measures of vodka, gin, tequila, rum, and triple sec with 1½ measures sour mix(lemon/lime juice & sugar) and a splash of coke. Got into it in the states, brilliant! (then was completely out of it ! )

Otherwise, Plums in vodka or brandy are great, and another vote for strawberrys in vodka :good: .

true, it's a vegetable not a fruit.

It's the traditional accompanyment to Hendrick's gin, but i like it so much i drink it with all gin.

Try it, it's pure aquavida! So refreshing

I'm assuming that you are talking about infusing fruit into spirits...in which case Sloe berries into Gin and Blackcurrants in Vodka for me, have done Strawberries in Vodka in the past and that works OK as well.

Otherwise...a slice of lime in a Vodka/Tonic does the biz!

Thats whats iam talken about what we all pick to what we put into our spirts
