pigeon controller
I've noticed a few posts talking about flie blow on your pigeons, the one solution that I have found to work is to use a large carp sack. I bought this one from a car boot for a £5 and it was intended to be used on the huge carp that I was going to catch(no luck). I've since got hold of another. They can both hold 150 birds so are big enough!!! What I do is pick up after approx 20 kills and place in the sack before the flies have a chance and place the sack in the shade behind me in the wind if possible, as I always like to shoot with the wind at my back. The flies still manage to lay eggs on the outside of the net. While I'm talking tips, you will see the brolly hide for those showery days I've posted before on this but have posted the picture to show that they still come in to decoys with the brolly up. Great price too. How strong is the bag? If it was full could you lift it into the back of a 4x4 or would it rip in the process?

Outlander
Cracking Idea, had one for years never likely to fill it with a decent carp though so might as well use it for pigeons.

cloudwalker
Great tip with the Carp sack. I also use a fishing brolly and found it to work really well. I throw a piece of netting over the top to break It works very well when there is no back drop behind you. I have even used it in the middle of a open field.
