Theoben fenman is an amazing bit of kit! Gas ram so no spring wear and can keep it cocked for ages with no damage! Nice and compact too (about 38" butt to silencer). I have had one for over 15 years and it's still mint and indestructible and never missed a beat.

If you are a wimp and want a pcp then falcon are great (I have an fn12sw and just as reliable as my fenman)

.22 is best for bunnies IMO!

Happy shooting

Mine field this one lots of good airrifles on the market these days.I think AA s410 s510, daystates, weihrauch, are as good as each other :good:.All very accurate. As to the Wimp bit  If you can drive them big TRUCKS i'm sure you can handle a tiny airrifle

With the new cammo, boots, deeks etc you sure to look the part Jo. Send me a pic of you dressed to kill.    Terry

for knocking over bunnies!! When I shoot one with my shotgun, they all scarper and dont reappear for 24 hours! So thinking of picking up a rifle to bag a few more!

Yeah the air arms is a fine choice but as has been said any pneumatic rifle should be good get .177 though buddy I would recommend :good: :good:

If you are a shotgun boy the importnat things to know are that you cant point in the general direction to get a kill, it has to be a head shot so calibre isn't important at all, accuracy is. 22 is heavier hitting but .177 is easier to shoot because its flatter so is probably best for the starter. All the guns so far are fairly pricy. If you want a pcp that does all that the others do but with a few less frills, then BSA is the place to start. The Ultra is tiny, cheap and as accurate as any other.

Jo,it really depends on your budget but one rifle that always stands out for me is the Air Arms S410.

Anymore I can help you with just let me know.

+1. I use mine for bunnies and you can literally pick them off without the others knowing. Of course, they do get a bit wary after a few shooting sessions.

Id checkout the air rifle forum on here and read up on them. Theres loads of PCP guns out there now, so read up on them, then try a few out at your local gun shop for fit.

I bought my first pcp for £300 all in

gun, scope, mod, ammo, stirrup pump etc

chap was selling up

its a Falcon FN19 in 177. Never heard of them until I read up before the sale.

I swapped the AA mod for a Weirach and ditched the ammo for some bisley magnums. stripped it down gave it new seals and a few tweaks.

very simple peice of kit, kills magpies and bunnies stone dead if I do my bit.

you dont need to spend thousnads to get something very quiet and very accurate.

there are few for sale now and then on the falcon owners site.

ive had a few different rifles but the ones that stand out are bsa lighting converted it with a therbon gas ram and it was brilliant but little load for multi kills, i then brought a s400 airarms witch was bit long with a mod on but super quite wasnt unusall to bag 3 or 4 rabbits before there mates even noticed at max distance, with the multi shot rifles it would be even better but as said expensive ,have you considered a semi auto shot gun if your quick not hard to crack of 2 or 3 shots before they realise :good:

As has been stated it totally depends on your budget, I have a Daystate MK4 MCT IS. Very quiet and very accurate, it has accounted for a lot of vermin. Once you take down one crow and the yall appear it is like shooting fish in a barrel as they have no idea where it is coming from and with a ten shot rotating magazine there is very little movement to give your position away if you are well hidden. But as stated it all depends on your budget, I like my Daystate... Hope you get what you are after but nip along to a local club and get your hands on a few before you part with your cash.. Best of luck....

I use an AA S410 for bunnies and have taken loads up to 40 yds, although the conditions have to be exactly right. Generally I take them at about 30 - 35 yds. Not going to get into the argument between .22 and .177 but I just prefer the knock down effect of .22. Can't fault the rifle but you need to get used to the looping tragectory of .22.
