They're the best looking LBP currently available. :good:

I know you'll enjoy it!

You obviously havent seen JTL's range of long barrel revolvers Here

I guess if you like that tactical looking pistols you cant really go wrong with a Colt 1911

with mock suppressor but I cant help loving the JTL more, it's beautiful.

Don't like the £4000 price tag though!

I will admit that is a good looking pistol and looks more substantial compared to the Taurus, but the price tag is eye watering.

I think the build quality of the JTL is second to none in comparison to the Taurus.

I would look at the Taurus as an entry to LBR shooting and if you really got on with

it then be looking to buy 'after much saving' a JTL revolver or similar.

Ruger make a few LBR's but I've never really liked the look of them.

I guess it's a personal taste thing but I think few people that shoot the discipline

would turn their nose up at a JTL revolver.

It's just that price tag thats off-puting, you could buy an amazing deer rig with

enough money left over for a Schmidt and Bender plus some rings and rounds.

Crazy money!

It makes me sad to see those, it just reminds me how stupid the current pistol laws are.

Me too, I had 12 pistols / revolvers when we were allowed, the good old days, I reloaded for all of them, if the law changed and we were allowed to own pistols as they should be I go for them again but not with rifle barrels on the front and the ridiculous bar/rod on the back, as usual legal users get the shaft. I could not get on with the Colt 1911 45 ACP my hands are too small, I went for the S&W 45 ACP revolver 5" barrel with the half and full moon clips, it used to knock the skittles off a treat lol ----- happy days, my favorite was my Beretta 92 FS 9mm

Im dreaming now.

Is that on a normal sect 1?

Was it much effort to get .22 pistol granted?

Its section1 but got to have a min barrel of 12inch and a metal rod attached to rear to make it above 24inch.As long as your a member of a club that shoots lbp then it should be granted.

That is one nice looking gun and if I ever decided to get one that has to be the one that I would go for as I do like the 1911 pistol having said that I would love to have a revolver but much as I try I think that all of the long barrel revolvers look absolutely horrible and they cost stupid money I just cannot see the point in them so big and heavy it defeats the hole point of it being a hand gun.

i was thinking of getting a alfa-proj lbp they are about £450

I used to have a S&W 29, 6" .44 :)

Looked at both the Alpha and the Taurus and they are nowhere close to the quality/fit & finish of the S&W. Ended up getting a .22 Browning Buckmark LBP at a good price, I just happened to be at the gun club when a fellow member decided to sell it :)
