AVB
I'll give you my opinion for what it's worth Mauritius - My favourite. Very friendly people. Fantastic quality hotels. Maldives - Great but you must love the water as there is really not a lot to do other than scuba or snorkle. As it's your honeymoon you might be distracted anyway. The Caribbean - I wouldn't give it the time of day. Overrated, poor service, becoming very chavvy in places what with all-inclusive etc. Anywhere in Europe - Why? India - No Egypt - No Thailand - You are on your honeymoon so you'll be getting enough of what people go to Thailand for.

the enigma
Looking for a few ideas for a honeymoon, early next year! I'm for getting hitched in Gretna but we both haven't decided on a honeymoon. I quite like the idea of Portrush on the north coast but my intended seems to like the Carribean for some reason. What would you guys suggest? We both only speak English and will need internet access!! Can't beat the Port......... Barry's and a dirty big fry in The Silver Sands.Happy days! We went to Cancun for our honeymoon.Nice spot.Went at this time of year and the weather was pretty good, only had a couple of rainy days out of the fortnight, but when it rained it really did rain. MM
Go HOME! Being married isnt about going on holday. Go to the home you both share and spend some time together. Chances are you have both taken time off, so spend it together without the distractions of beaches and tourism. If you want to strat a happy marriage, take the time off and use it wise. rimfire4969
We had our honeymoon in a cottage in Wales. 6 miles from anywhere no electric and open fires and beautiful views. We could not help but have a very romantic time and at the time we had no money so it was very cheap. Since then we have done Florida and the carribean. We loved Antigua, a lot of the carribean is similar it depends on the hotel. You would have a great time in Florida you don't need kids to have fun there.
