Gordon R
Went this morning. I have previously been very critical of the booking on procedure, but I was pleasantly surprised. Quite quick, no fuss and 10% for potential no birds added without asking. The road is not good and you need a car wash after, but targets were better than last time, although we only did a selection. Overall it does seem to have improved. Took my son and grandson - his first time ever with his recently shortened 410. He was not actually shooting when the photo was taken - merely posing. When he did shoot - the gun was in his shoulder. Enjoyable outing. Another photo.

Gordon R
Ian / Nicky - I have been critical in the past, but it is only fair to hold my hands up and say things are better. It wasn't too sunny, so I can't comment on targets into the sun, but one stand - Sport Trap 3 - I think - was very good. Just did them as random - without knowing what was coming - makes you go a little quicker. The road will probably never get any better. It would cost and arm and a leg - given the length of it. You just have to accept that and take it slow. The ground clearly has potential and it is nice to see it living up to it. I will be back and so will a few mates. :good:

eeski
I was up there this morning with my two nippers and wife. Eldest (10) had a go with their 20bore but it was a bit harsh for him so back to the .410 Will say hello next time I spot you ! Browning 425 clay hunter
I was there on sat with a mate. His first time and he loved it. Signed up for a membership on the spot. Now putting in for his licence. It's my first club but I've been really impressed with the facility's and some great stands plus very friendly staff. The only issue I had was ignorant members in the comp who think they can hurry you off the stand they want by standing in arms reach while your shooting. My noob mate showed one of them he was to close by accidently ejecting two spent carts over his shoulder and into the mush of one of them. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE
Acid House
The road has got much worse since the spud harvest. The heavy plant was out in force. With the ridiculous sports suspension and low profile tyres on my tin box it's very hard going at the mo, but hey that's the countryside for you. It just wouldn't be the same on a service station car park.
