Caddyman
I have just borrowed a pal's Beretta A303 to try on the pigeons. He has had it years, but doesn't use it so knows little about it. I have never used a semi-auto before, but believe that the loading procedure is to pull back the cocking handle and load the 1st shell in through the ejector port, then the other 2 go in from underneath. My problem is that when the cocking handle is pulled back it doesn't lock in the 'open' position. I thought it should lock, to enable easy loading of the cartridge, then should close when the latch button on the side of the action is pressed? I have managed to load one by holding the cocking handle open, then afterwards pretty much everything goes in from underneath (unless you use all 3 shots!!) Everything else seems to work fine. Is it me doing something wrong, or is there something amiss with the gun - in which case how is it fixed? Help please
Paul223
there's a little button in front of the trigger guard on the underside (at the back of the gate), push that and the bolt will stay back Edited November 29, 2011 by Paul223
markbivvy
look at the lever where you put the other 2 cart when loading, at the back of it there is a little button that protrudes a bit, push this button in before you load the first shell, this should lock the action back. or do what the man above says. arjimlad
As above... And then close the bolt by pressing the larger **** on the right side of the gun, which will then allow you to load the magazine.

Dekers
And mind your fingers if you aren't used to Semis when you press the big button!
M.I.A
If that fails, just load 2 in the mag, cock and load the third
