flazz
Hi all, i've just been given a Relum Tornado .22 in perfect condition, has anybody got any idea what it's worth ? Chris
Robbie uk
To be fair,i wouldnt think it would be worth a great amount. My friend has one which he has had for about 25 yrs. Its a very heavy gun. More of a sentimental value i would guess.
steve_b_wales
Not sure of the value, but the name brings back fond memories. This make/model was my very first air rifle. I had a brand new one from Kays catalogue, back in 1969, when I was 12 years old. My mother ordered it for me from a neighbour who was running the catalogue. No age limit then,no gun cabinets,no taking the rifle's out in gun slips, and no shooting other people with it! I was supervised by my grandfather, and learned all about 'high power rifle's'! I had many a happy day, with my mate, who also had a new one, and we made our own targets, and spent hours just 'plinking'
jacksdad
Like many on here of a certain age, the relum was my 'first' as well...you never forget the first time do you! Big, heavy gun, and not too shabby either. Underlever (with nice self opening tap weren't they?) and pretty accurate, only had open sights and could shoot as well as the other kids who had Originals with teles etc! They had twin springs and could be tuned up a fair bit, probably nothing like 12ft lbs but good fun: I got a BSF Bavaria next and was like going from a Bulldozer to a Ferrari

Mine, when bought, came with a 'very powerful' 4x32 scope. My next air rifle after that was a Webley Vulcan.
Bazooka Joe
They had twin springs and could be tuned up a fair bit, probably nothing like 12ft lbs but good fun: Fond memories....I tuned one up while serving my apprenticeship many moons ago. Double springs replaced with shorter more powerful ones, & because of that I had to re-design the piston & washer, the first attempt just destroyed the original one. Cannot remember were it ended up, but I would have another one tomorrow

working dog
I was given one as a kid as my first rifle and I remember it well. Pale stock with ugly lines, totally abused blueing which was more rust than blue, underlever made from what felt like a lump of 2" diameter iron. A really heavy gun to tow around as an eleven year old but I loved it ! I have no idea what happened to it. Its probably rusting away in my parents garage. brett1985
to be fair, they were pretty good little guns for what they cost. if it is truley mint then you should expect to get between £70 to £100 for it. i sold one in mediocore condition about 6 months ago for £50 to a guy that collects them. get some pics up so we can have a look! lol
