Mike525steel
Looking good I want a hammer gun but wouldn't trust myself they just look dangerous
matone
They`re as safe as any other gun, just handle them safely.A hammerless gun is cocked all the time,so what`s the difference? Never think a safety catch will stop a gun from firing! The Tolley looks lovely! Edited January 1, 2012 by matone
Blackpowder
What is it about an old hammer gun that sets the pulse racing, there is something about the action of pulling the hammers back, muzzle held high of course, that satisfying click always seems to set me up for the anticipated shot. Niether are they so slow in handling as you would expect as every top lever hammer gun is a self opener , press the lever one handed and the barrels drop. Finally thats a great job on the old girls, well done. Blackpowder

You mentioned you could be having a trip to the foreshore with her, how did it go?. I managed a left and right at graylags 1st Sept on stubble with the Browning auto, nothing since.
