yds
Cancelled this morning due to high winds and rain, wish we hadn't as it had blown out. Went out tonight and took this young doe right on last knockins, good optics paid off. Any way Daz had a great day, picking up his new sako85-6.5x55 fitting the new zeiss 3-12x56 varipoint and also buying a browning T-bolt .17hmr all scoped up to. Sadly there wasn't time to zero the new sako so he used mine to shoot the doe. He bought his on the strength of using my sako/zeiss "estate" rifle. A good one though, not many people get the chance to combine a passion with a job. If you don't mind me asking. What area of the country do you take your clients stalking? You mentioned an 'estate rifle' I'm pressuming you work on this estate.

I stalk about 12-15,000 acres of e./nth yorks. self employed and been that way for 10 years.

I stalk about 12-15,000 acres of e./nth yorks. self employed and been that way for 10 years. I see, it makes more sense now, about the rifle I mean. You've certainly got yourself a large area to stalk over and many, many happy clients I'd imagine. I've been thinking about organising my first stalk. Prices around here vary from £80 to £450 although, I have a friend who worked as a stalker in knoydard for about two years. His boss has given him an open invite to come back for a few days stalking if he's ever interested. I was promised a place along with him if he ever decided to go back up again to visit. It's a tough decission, pay for my first stalk down here and get a medium sized deer of whatever description. Or wait for an unspecified period of time and maybe get a shot at a Red Stag. I'd like my first time to be a very memorable one. Knoydart is such a beautiful place too, the locals are a bit backward from what I've heard but probably nicer that your average city dweller.
