northeastshooter
Ok i have been looking for a 12g for crows rabbits woodys moneys abit tight at the moment but have seen an escort and a mossberg slugster i like (think id prefer sigle barrel) is it personal choice or is one more suitable than the other
M.I.A
I'd imagine the slugster has rifle type sights so no rib. If that's the case I'd go for the escort. Edited January 14, 2012 by M.I.A
fazer 1000
i have a sxs and a escort but i only ever use the escort as it does every thing i need it to do all the best with your choice
cant hit rabbits 123
I have a mossberg pump action. It has a slug barrel, but is fitted with the standard bead. Good knock about gun and will function forever with minimal care.

Winterwolf
Looks like a Gen1 or Gen2 from the pic, cant tell. Just make sure you use 67mm or 70mm carts and you should be fine ... and give it a clean every 100 shots ... pay attention to the gas ports and cylinder and you should have no problems. Catweazle
The Mossberg 500 is the gun equivalent of Molegrips. Not sophisticated, not beautiful, but they work.
klatuveradanikto
How much are the MP-A's out of interest? and do they come in sec 2 or only sec 1>? Paid £300 for the MP-A plus RFD costs you'd be surprised how good it is on the clay ground. Teal,Hi - Low Skeet, Low tower, Rabbit not a problem at all. £400 for the Mossberg but came with aload of extras including spare 28 ported barrel, don't use the 24 inch much just looks good really, thats if it's your cup of tea. both available in sec 1 or 2, mines sec 2. Richard.Hosgood
No, but they do have a short LOP so chances are they are on to increase LOP
bedwards1966
I see a lot of these have extra butt pads, do they kick like **** then ? No, as said it's only to increase the length of pull.
andy198712
pumps will generally kick more then a semi. as there's no action absorbing the recoil. the mossy pump is a copy of the remy 870 so onto a winner there. but for the money a new escort is a tempting buy. the new escort pump is £275 in my local dealers...... nice gun that. my shooting partner has an escort and he likes it, especially now its fixed! does like to be clean, but feels nice to shoot
