Iggy
Another vote for Benelli Im biased as I have a Supersport and its great for clays. I had a AL391 before that and to me the Benelli wins hands down. As a previous poster said, try to get over to Doveridge if you can as they generally have a good selection of Benelli's in stock to try out. Iggy. chris t
Read a few bad reviews about Benelli recently, they seem to get a bad name..... Really? The Vinci is a great gun, sooo much smoother than my AL391 when it cycles and lighter, recoil seems about the same as well. I just find that the high rib doesn't suit my shooting style for some reason :( Other than that it's a great gun, probably one of the best I've ever used. Salop Matt
Benelli M2 is what i have and am well happy with it and the high rib is part of what it makes it the best fitting gun ive ever had and i cant think of anything i would rather have ! robborobbo
Can you not buy a Vinci with different rib options or is it one size fits all? And no I don't work for Hatson lol don't even know who they are Edited January 23, 2012 by robborobbo
chris t
Can you not buy a Vinci with different rib options or is it one size fits all? It seems that they don't offer a flat rib (not on a vinci anyway) And think that trying to relay the rib would probably just mess the gun up. So can see no option but to sell. robborobbo
Hmmm. Ok thanks Off topic, what's the flag thingy that hangs out the ejector to show the gun is empty?

mfletch
Its just a safety blank that you put in the chamber to tel others that the gun is safe http://www.napieruk.com/acatalog/Security.html
BerettaSV10
Yes the flag / ribbon you see hanging out of the ejector port is to show the gun is unloaded. There are two or three types availiable the flag and plug with the flag its like a dummy cartridge which has a approx brightly coloured ribbon which supposed to be seen to show the gun is unloaded. While the plug is a brightly coloured sort of wedge shaped plastic plug (about the length of a cartridge) which clips into the ejector port. I prefer these as they are easier seen from a close or distant range that the gun is empty. The third which I have not seen has a tail on it which runs in the barrel and then has a Plastic piece that sticks out from the ejector simular to the plug, (think these may be more common on rifles). majordisorder
What do you want to use it for, I have the Raffeallo crio which is a wood stock great for clays, just need to be carfull if using it elseware, also like the super sport its so tempting, must keep telling myself resit it. Theres the M2 and several others in black synthetic versions and think in camo as well. Resistance is futitle. As you can see by my sig, I would recommend the Supersport, but I do appreciate that the Black finish makes it a bit of a marmite gun. If you can get to doveridge, they used to have a demo version of this, just don't forget to take your SGC. As far as price for Supersports, Derek Lee near Horncastle takes some beating for new gun prices. Me too. Another vote for Benelli Im biased as I have a Supersport and its great for clays. I had a AL391 before that and to me the Benelli wins hands down. As a previous poster said, try to get over to Doveridge if you can as they generally have a good selection of Benelli's in stock to try out. Iggy. I bought mine without trying one, there's a load of shims to make it fit and different length recoil pads too. Those who say recoil is bad in an interia driven gun like a Benelli can't have tried the Supersport. I inadvertantly shot with a couple of 3" 50g #3 shells on a clay shoot yesterday and whilst the rest of my squad thought there'd been an IED strike with the bangs, I managed to hit the pair without any drama. Not sure if it's the ported barrels that make a difference or the design as a whole but it's a mighty fine gun.
BerettaSV10
Resistance is futitle. I know, whats worse went to the bank and have a few pounds spare, may be enough to change it.
EdSolomons
I think it's very subjective- Chances are if you like benellis you won't like berettas and vice versa. I literally can't stand benellis- doesn't make them bad but for me there Is only one auto to buy and that is the older model 391. Horses for courses ad all that! pickerup
Ive owned 4 Benelli's over 20 years and never had any problems, definitley the best auto you can buy in my opinion. I sill own 2 and ones for sale. Super sport 2 in wood,28inch ported barrel, crio chokes, cased, unmarked, still has the sticker on the stock. And a M1 cammo, 28inch barrel,in good condition, cased.
