what would be the cause of both the barrels fireing on a double trigger side by side , when only one trigger is pulled.

thanks

Not being funny friend but it's obviously a mechanical malfunction of one sort or another, it just isn't the kind of thing you should tackle through advice on the net. I've seen this sort of thing on O/U guns too and although it's not inconceivable that too much dirt or grease is the cause, you really ought to get it looked at by an expert.

Hi before you get involved in mechanical solutions check your LOP.

I have had double disscharging barrels and had the same frightening thought.

The fact of the matter turned out to be a stock which was to long for me consequently squeasing the front trigger with an over extended finger, this sliped off through recoil onto the rear trigger discharging the second, it can also happen if your fingers are frozen/cold, give it a thought if you have not allready.

Good luck with it

Frank

intermitent

well i put over 50 shots through it the other day and fingers crossed no problems.

strange :hmm:

and dont worry it would be a gunsmiths job to sort it , just wondered if it was going to cost big money

may not even be big money, just a service, and or tighten up a few screws...

It shouldnt cost a bomb - less than £100.

How badly do you want to avoid shooting someone?

As it wears further, it will go off when you close it so do be sure to observe full safety routine everytime. Yep gunsmith to be sure.
