Matteo79
HI! In Italy we hunt wood pigeon during the migrations months (october-november) and we hu hunt only in woods, we have hunting installations on the top of the trees and we wait the woodpiegons migration. We hunt whit live dressed domestic pigeons or dressed wood pigeons. I show you some pictures of my hunting installation. You can see my dressed domestic pigeons, they fly away and come back to me for attract the wood pigeons floks. Matteo79
Unfurtunally we catch no many pigeons, like 20-30 in a month...but in Italy someone can catch 100-150 pigeons in one-two months. It's not easy because here many peoples hunt wood pigeons and it's not like in UK (i was in London in september and i saw many many wood pigeons in the city too....). But we like that kind of hunt, we have a little even in wood we hunt and we do some lunch italian style... further i like go hunting whit my dressed domestic pigeons...(in UK i thuink that you can't use live decoy...correct?). I live in Umbria , in Perugia (Meredith Kercker murder...do you remeber???) and i hunt on tuscany boundery.

Matteo79
Thanks to all! I see thet you like Italy and Italian style (i see many beretta on your posts) . Mereside i live in Umbria it's a region near tuscany region, i live in Perugia, i know that UK peoples loves tuscany but now i know that they come tu Umbria too. In Umbria we have city like Assisi, Gubbio, Orvieto...Perugia do you know? I hunt near Tuscany but in Umbria. I hunt wildboar (whit dogs) and i hunt roe deer and fallow deer(whitout dogs). Woodcock11 ok now i have understood i was in London two times, i eat some of tipical english dishes, some are very good but my lamb are divine ! I'm not the Italian Bear Grylls, but i like to live in the wood and in the countrysides... I like the UK countrisides, many pigeons, many ducks, many rabbits and many geese (i like watherfool hunting too). Very good place to hunt UK for me. I was in Orkneys islands to geese hunting, unforgettable experience!!! Thanks for Italians replyes!!!  Edited January 29, 2012 by Matteo79
