RogerH
Picked up a used F3 last week and I love everything about it except the slightly blingy barrel stickers it came with. Does anyone have any recommendation for the best way to remove them without marking the gun? In the past I've used a hair dryer on cars and motorbikes etc., but the gun was too expensive to risk any stupid screw-up on my part... I've also had WD40 mentioned to me but I'm sceptical. Thanks in advance, Roger
PhilR
I've used petrol as a solvent for the glue and just picked them off bit by bit.
Pointer
The next clay shoot you go on, try picking them off when the barrels are nice and warm, then use a spirit based solvent to remove the residue.
BlaserF3
I just peeled mine off after lifting the corner with my fingernail. A bit of oil on a rag removed the residue.
Oly
I honestly don't know why they put them on, they are even on some rifles too, talk about annoying and garish! PR lesson one: Try NOT to **** off your customer base! I would do what I do with cars from garages, insist that all such stickers are removed before I leave the shop. P~MX
yeah a hair drier and loads of heat and then a good spray of oil and rub it in well when the sticker is off What spec is your Blaser ? I've a 30" Sporter with grd 6 wood, with ported barrels
Cosd
Use a hair dryer set on it's hottest setting if you're worried about using a heat gun, start off by heating whole area of the sticker to warm the barrels up then heat letter at a time and keep trying to remove the sticker a letter at a time. The stickers should come off very easily once at the right temperature. The first one will take the longest and then it should be much quicker as the barrels reach the right temp releasing the glue. A little solvent to remove any residue the some oil over the barrels to finish.

I've a 30" Sporter with grd 6 wood, with ported barrels Thanks for the advice chaps, I'll give it a go later today. Mine is a Mk II 30" Sporter with adjustable comb. The wood is grade 5 I think. Just the most natural feeling gun I have shot to date, even if I did have to chop 3 guns in to get it.. Cheers Roger
RogerH
OK just taken them off. The key is to warm the area thoroughly with wife's hair dryer, then peel off the letters with fingernails. A lot of adhesive was left, but this came off very easily whilst the barrels were still warm, just using Legia spray and a soft cloth. Job done and thanks to all who replied. Now I won't feel like a total Richard every time I miss... Cheers Roger
Sandbank
My Beretta A300 Outlander came with a pretty little blue and white plastic tube round the outside of the tube. Much easier to remove than a sticker but I hope all have the sense to do so as the plastic does melt quite easily. Note: I checked this after removal rather than from hard and bitter experience. mattslaptop247
Somthing called orange oil will do the trick. We use it at work to remove stickers. Its made from the oil in orange peel.
