Bazooka Joe
Its time for a complete clearout of the older players. Goalkeeper - J HART Defence - L Baines, A Cole, P Jones, M Richards(captain) Midfield - A Lennon, A Oxade-chamberlain, T Walcott, A Johnson Strikers - W Rooney, J Defoe there you go, pick the bones out of that Rooney & Capello should have went after the world cup, as much use as a kick in the head... Asa Bear
I thought you said "England footy manageress"! Still, what's the worst that could happen?!
fenboy
 Not before time either, Harrys acquittal is amazingly convenient, but I'm sure it's justice taking its true course...so what's the odds against him being offered the job by the weekend? yes its really easy to forget you have a account in your dogs name with several grand in it
wy111
I don't usually get involved with football politics, but, for my sins, have been a Leeds fan all my life The FA, in my opinion, as usual, have proven Terry guilty before the court case (Innocent until proved guilty?). It's not about the manager picking the team any more, more like what the FA sticks up his jacksey to play. Copello's providence proves he's been the most successful manager for years. He has done what a good manager has done, stick by his players. As far as Rooney is concerned, wouldn't pick him to play for Whitby Town, would get sent off for retaliating against, "proper" football
antuk99
Ok tin hat time I wish there were more bosses out there as supportive as there men and would stand by them to the end.
Mungler
I bet a mate £100 that Harry R wouldn't be the next England manager, because I was banking on the fact that he would get found guilty and be inside (and unavailable) when the job opening came around. Now it's the interesting bit of detail in the bet - I said Harry wouldn't be "the next" England manager. So, fingers crossed for a caretaker manager and Harry not being able to get out of his Spurs contract. Gutted.
Drayman
He's been paid £24 million and produced squat. The JT episode is probably a convenient way of him jumping ship and trying to look good.
JR1960
Whoever gets it, with the F.A. and the british press behind them, what could possibly go wrong?? :look:

Whoever gets it, with the F.A. and the british press behind them, what could possibly go wrong?? :look: Agree 100% with both comments. The way I see it, We were poor under Capello and previous coaches,We will be poor under the next most likely, so at least have an Englishman being poor, rather than an overpaid foreigner on a huge contract. What Englands fans need to have, is a realistic expectation level, we should be into quarter finals regularly, and from then in We need a miracle, but in My opinion thats were we should be, no more - no less Edited February 9, 2012 by Devon Fox

shaun4860
Only one established centre half? You have to gamble and give others a chance, Kids will play their heart out if given a chance to play for their country, not like the old guard who couldnt give a damn ( i know cole could be in that category)

Interesting formation with four wingers in midfield No captain and no manager at the moment - I think we are gambling enough already

paulos
We have a national side which is average at best, a distinct lack of homegrown talent and a resentment from top-tier clubs who would honestly rather bar their players from participating and yet some people still consider the manager a failure when he doesn't instantly win the biggest competitions in the World? Get real, Capello's a great manager, but there's only so much you can do with players who are only in it for themselves.

Johnson and Oxade-Chamberlain WILL play through the middle, or i wont pick them and they can rot in hell!!!!!! the 4 defenders can and will play through the middle whilst attacking and defend when not!!! when do i start? But you also have to question his selections at the world cup No Hart took Ledley King when, when he is at spurs struggles to play 90 minutes because of his knees and cant train before a match. You have taken my comments as I intended them and made me laugh, thank-you. I have heard from a reliable source that harry's first team will be: David James, Kyle Walker, Ledley King, Michael Dawson, Glen Johnson, Aaron Lennon, Scott Parker, Frank Lampard, Joe Cole, Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe
