39TDS
Second hand BRNO Model 2. Possibly £50-100, never go wrong and very accurate. You can't fail.
station
You won't go wrong with a CZ452 or 455 - Solid, reliable and plenty around You'll pay from £80 second hand up to £500 for a new one. I have a 455 with laminate thumbhole stock and 16" varmint barrel with SAK moderator. Trigger tweaked with a £12 spring kit and it's more than adequate. ATB. bedwards1966
Second hand BRNO Model 2. Possibly £50-100, never go wrong and very accurate. You can't fail. +1, it's a great piece of kit. It's basically the same as the CZ 452, which are the more modern ones, so buy either a BRNO Mod 2 or a CZ and you'll be happy. Shropshire_Lad
As already said cz or brno, a quick look on G.T. shows this one in good nick with little use.; http://www.guntrader.co.uk/GunsForSale/120206143313551 atvb Paul. 12borejimbo
I would go for a CZ 452, or as said the BRNO mod 2 (the older version) You can pick up .22rimfires for very little money. Wabbitbosher has some half decent ones for sale. If you want you can try mine out, just PM or txt me if you want. Ive got a decent scope on mine, and had the trigger tunes which I did myself but bought the kit for £10. Made a massive difference, nice and light, very smooth, just lovely for those testing shots, or a freehand moment.
Redgum
CCCCCCZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ every time for a cheap, accurate and reliable rifle, don't worry to much about the age, .22lrs will shoot 1000's of rnds and not wear out, of course as long as they have been looked after, general condition should show you that. bedwards1966
I bought a BRNO mod 2 a few months ago from a shop - got it down to £125 with a Parker Hale moderator (which works just as well as a nearly new one I compared it against) and a 4-16x50 illuminated unbranded scope that works perfectly. That was a good buy, you can pick them up quite cheaply if your lucky and don't rush.

Paul223
Doesn't always have to be CZ for a cheap .22, always have a good look around, I paid £75.00 for my Anschutz, the stock is tatty but it all works just like it should. and if you'd asked the question which quality .22 the list would have started at CZ and gone up to some of the later Anschutz and Weihrauch ps there is an Anny on GT for £50, always worth a look

Dekers
This topic should really be Pinned! BRNO , they are CZ, just named after the town where they were/are made, then the next version was the CZ452. Plenty about at low prices, but sometimes there are good deals on other makes as well. Be careful with any terminology of better/quality manufacturer, nothing will shoot better or work better in the field than a BRNO/CZ!
